Kaitiaki Kindergartens
Kaitiaki Kindergartens is located on the North Shore of Tāmaki Makaurau.
Kaitiaki Kindergartens are leaders in delivering early childhood education that empowers tamariki, whānau, and communities. Their kindergartens nurture confidence, curiosity, and leadership — creating safe, inclusive spaces for lifelong learning.
“Our focus is on ensuring every child believes in themselves and has the opportunity to achieve their dreams and aspirations. We are proud to play a role in nurturing the next generation of leaders.”
Thirteen of their 14 kindergartens are proud members of Enviroschools. Through this partnership, they engage in meaningful environmental practices such as community gardening, awa restoration projects, promote water conservation, recycling, composting, and upcycling. By teaching tamariki these sustainable practices from an early age, Kaitiaki Kindergartens help them integrate these values into their daily lives, fostering a deeper connection to the environment.
Kaitiaki Kindergartens are committed to providing sustainable and affordable services that meet the needs of their communities. As a not-for-profit, Kaitiaki Kindergartens reinvest directly into services that support tamariki and whānau. With 100% qualified kaiako and a focus on play-based learning, they’re committed to long-term quality and care.
Kaitiaki Kindergartens are deeply passionate about growing the kindergarten movement. “We believe a united voice can drive meaningful change, and being part of this movement means we can share ideas, strengthen our impact, and ensure high-quality learning for every child.”
